Map Pan/Select Mode
In this mode click and dragging will move (pan) the map. A single click on a map feature will open the information popup. To enter Map Pan/Select mode, click on the Map Pan/Select mode icon on the bottom right of the header. The Map Pan/Select mode icon looks like a hand.
A Map Feature is the individual map parts or rows of a layer. A map feature usually represents a single item in the layer (e.g. in the “Pittsburgh Neighborhoods” layer, each neighborhood is a map feature).
The Feature Info popup displays three tabs across the top with detailed information about the feature:
- Map Info tab – contains static content like Feature Id, Layer name, Shape, Coordinates
- Attributes tab – contains associated properties (dynamic content) of the map feature. The columns are defined in the layer’s attribute layout.
- Documents tab – contains PDFs, JPGs, etc.
